Iris, bearded variety, purple and white

purple and white bearded iris
A purple and white bearded iris. Irises do really well in my part of the country, and as far as I can tell tolerate about the same conditions as daffodils. There is a great variety of the big, bold bearded iris in my neighborhood. The ones I call bearded irises are the big, highly ruffled hybrids, they bloom later than the common lilac colored ones that I love the best, and from which I am certain they were derived.
Shot with a Nikon Coolpix 4300.
