Puffball Parmagiana, part 1
Giant puffballs are one of the most reliable of edible mushrooms. Ranging from baseball sized to bigger than a rugby ball, they are picked and eaten soon after they first sprout. If they start to dry to the powdery puff for which they are named, they are ruined for eating. This one was found by Ikey. It was smallish – about softball sized. It has been sliced in preparation of making puffball parmagiana. The slices are about 1/2 inch thick.
