The exterior of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington DC. It is covered travertine and is a beautiful modern building with subtle coloration, strong angles and large glass fronts to light the interior in the daytime. This photo shows the western side of the building. It is one of Washington’s most distinctive buildings and is said to be the world’s most popular museum. The building was completed in 1976.
