Buffy Sainte-Marie at the Veterans Against the War Protest. This was on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. The protest group consisted mainly of Viet Nam veterans but also included some other veterans and a fair contingent of non-veterans. Buffy Sainte-Marie, who wrote and sang Buffalo Soldier and who was blacklisted because of it, met the veterans near the National Museum of the American Indian and sang a song and addressed the group.
