A close up of an allium blossom. Allium is a bulb. Like many Dutch bulbs it has a big flower its first year and then settles into the size it will be where it is planted. Like most bulbs, it will thrive and self propagate if it is an a sunny location. If it is partly shaded, it will look like this one.
