Pale pink amaryllis blossoms. We visited the National Botanical Garden on the mall in Washington DC in January, 2010. They were having a show of flowering amaryllises. That seemed appropriate since so many people force amaryllis bulbs in order to have winter flowers for the table. I had never seen such a variety. In this photo, only the flowering head and part of the stem is really visible. This flowering head spreads out wide in a horizontal plane.
