Pink surprise amaryllis

Pink surprise amaryllis plants. We visited the National Botanical Garden on the mall in Washington DC in January, 2010. They were having a show of flowering amaryllises. That seemed appropriate since so many people force amaryllis bulbs in order to have winter flowers for the table. I had never seen such a variety. Since I managed to capture the sign in this photo I can say with assurance that these are Pink Surprise amaryllis plants. They are seen in front of the garden pools inside the garden foyer.
