A bumble bee on a blue ageraturm. bumble bees are members of the genus bombus in the family apidae. Bumble bees are wild bees, forming smaller colonies than honey bees. Widespread in temperate latitudes. Ageraturm are widespread as well and this variety, Ageratum houstonianum, is widely used as a bedding plant. Its flowers are attractive to butterflies as well as bees.
