The seed pod of a honeyvine (Cynanchum laeve). These are as I understand it sort of climbing milkweeds. Their flowers are very small, the pods burst with blow-in-the-wind seeds once dried and there they are hanging up the stemm or shrub for better dispersal. This one grew on a lilac bush in my yard. Cynanchum laeve or honeyvine seem to have some importance in monarch economy.
