Immature Fig

An immature fig growing on a fig tree. I love the overall green of this image and the details in this macro shot of a growing, immature fig. Figs are fertilized by wasps whose larva grow inside them. Figs are a versatile fruit for people in suburbia and in cities, I see more and more fig trees in my mid-Atlantic area.
